Katie Grant is down to earth, authentic and unpretentious, and has been known to drop an F-bomb in sessions. She is able to meet a client where they are, affirming their unique flavor of humanity, celebrating their survival and strengths. She values attunement to client process highly. She also tells it like it is, and is not afraid to point out reality. Some days, she thinks in song lyrics.
Katie Grant holds Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant credentials from the EMDR International Association and continues to read and consult so she can stay abreast of the latest applications, modifications, and research impacting EMDR Therapy (particularly with clients who are neurodivergent and/or living with effects of complex trauma).
Adjunct EMDR Therapy means that a client already in therapy is referred for short-term trauma treatment, with the intention of returning to the original therapist once the traumatic impact has been reduced. Adjunct EMDR Therapy can be done in traditional sessions one to two hours per week, or intensively in longer sessions, sometimes several days in a row.
