Consultation for therapists

I am an EMDRIA "Consultant-in-training," which means I am not yet approved but am working with an approved consultant to develop my consultation skills.  I can provide a portion of your consultation hours for certification with EMDRIA  at a reduced rate.  Email me at katiegrant@katiegrantcounseling.com for current individual and group rates.

I can provide consultation to therapists who are having difficulty with cases or are building skills with client presentations that fall under my scope of expertise (see button below). Consultation can also help combat vicarious traumatization and compassion fatigue, especially for therapists in independent practice not regularly receiving supervision.  Email me at katiegrant@katiegrantcounseling.com for current individual and group rates.

Supervision ultimately implies responsibility.  In consultation, I am taking no responsibility for your work with your clients, legally or otherwise.  I am simply providing my ideas on how I might provide treatment to a client based on the information you provide, my training, and my experience.  You, as the consultee, are fully responsible for clinical choices made after consultation. You are responsible for the therapeutic relationship with your clients and competency in the modalities you offer. As a consultant, I do not hold liability for how you practice. Consultation does not substitute for foundational psychotherapy skills.
